About TITANS

To effectively prepare cases for forfeiture/seizure, TEOAF requires a case management system to manage the volumes of cases prior to the forfeiture/seizure action. TEOAF’s Strategic Planning Team (SPT) consists of a limited number of internal users responsible, in part, for analyzing and tracking Third Party Money Laundering (3PML)/Major Cases. Once all detailed known information about a case has been properly scrutinized and prepared by the SPT, the case can move forward as a forfeiture/seizure action by appropriate authorities. After the forfeiture and seizure actions are completed for a case, TEOAF collaborates with federal and local law enforcement agencies to determine the equitable sharing amount each supporting agency is due and the resulting information is provided in the Automated Tracking and Asset Management System (ATAMS), which is managed by Treasury’s ECM Team.
